Square managed to tease fans at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego with a new trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII called “13 Days.”

A new set of screenshots reveal more information about Yusnaan, in particular one area called The Slaughterhouse where fighting tournaments are held every night.

Also from the video, there’s a bit more on the game’s new battle system. Lightning can now target specific parts of her enemies and cut/destroy them allowing you to win battles easier and gain new rewards. There’s also a new counter-attack system which will allow you to defend Lightning and land a critical hit simultaneously if used correctly — the counter attack only works on physical attacks AND consumes a large portion of the ATB gauge however.

And last but not the least, we see Lightning in one of the cross-over costume links, this time from Miqo’te of the forthcoming PS3 and PS4 MMO, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Personally, I think she looks better with the Cloud uniform DLC but what the hell, someone’s bound to love it.
