3DS sells over four million in Japan
Nintendo can now pat itself in the back as the Nintendo 3DS has officially surpassed four million units sold mark in it’s Japanese sales.
While the price drop of the 3DS can be attributed to the portable console’s now apparent success, the biggest movers is undoubtedly Monster Hunter 3G which released earlier this month, shipping a million copies of the game in less than two weeks, alongside Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 which sold 1,042,511 units and 1,082,391 units sold respectively.
According to Enterbrain data, the 3DS enjoyed it’s best week between December 19 and December 25, selling 510,629 units and bringing it’s life-to-date sales to 4,135,739 units sold.
