It was confirmed at the Square Enix party that the 3rd game in the series was headed for the PSP.  It took quite a while but I think it was worth the wait.

First announced as a game for the mobile platform, much like Final Fantasy XIII: Agito, the still under development PE title has it’s details under wraps.  There’s no announcement whether the game will still be released for mobiles or will be a PSP-exclusive.  What is known, however, is that the Parasite Eve ~ 3rd Birthday is scheduled for a 2009 release in Japan.

The earliest we’ll get our hands on the title is probably next year.
