PSP for Dummies > PSP-2000, PSP-3000 and PSP Go

This part of the guide will help you install custom firmware on your non-hackable (aka partially-hackable) PSPs. PSP models that fall into this category are the following:

• PSP-2000 with ta88v3 motherboards
• PSP-3000 AKA PSP Brite
• PSP Go

If you need help identifying your PSP model, refer to this guide. If you’re lost, please go back to the initial page of the guide.

Now since you have an unhackable PSP, you cannot install a full CFW on it, just HEN or a LCFW. If you need help differentiating the two, please read refer to the Terms and Definitions part of the CFW for Dummies guide.

Do note that you can’t turn off your PSP otherwise you’ll have to reload the LCFW you have installed. This is one of the limitations of having LCFW compared to a full CFW.
