The event’s coming will be both a blessing and a curse to me. A blessing because Hataw Hanep Hero, the event last year, was my first cosplay experience and the first win Ichiraku Ramen, myself included, tasted.
A curse because the next day I got dumped but that’s another matter. I’m looking forward to seeing more amazing costumes from my peers in the cosplay community. Sadly, I guess I’m retired from my cosplay career as there are less opportunities for me to go to such conventions as my time as a student draws to a close. Guess I’ll be back to being a photographer of such events and/or help out with crowd control.

As far as I know, there is no age limits in cosplaying.
Hero has yet to release details of how to join the upcoming event. I will try to keep information on this as up to date as possible so stay tuned.
ah ok..tnx..en pano kung my kagaya ng anime na icosplay ko?imean same kami…
There’s no rule prohibiting you to take a character that’s already taken so that’s alright.
ah ok..tnx po^o^ goodday..

hi i’m wade 22 yrs old this is my first time to join cosplay.., pwede p b ako sumali? my roleplay for cosplay would be “GENESIS RHAPSODOS” of “FINAL FANTASY: CRISIS CORE”
@wade
I think for indiv cosplay on the spot ung registration (ergo you need to go there and list yourself down) but I’m pretty sure Hero doesn’t stick to the “anime only” cosplay rule. i remember seeing The Red Pyramid from silent hill on last years con.
Update: there’s an online registration process and you can access it here:
H3 2007 Cosplay Pre-Registration
MINA MINA MINA!! papano to ung kakantahin ko jrock.

Not sure on the non-anime songs though.
If you can, try to contact a Hero Personnel via filcosplay and/or cosplay.ph.
The Hero TV forum is currently down.

Id like to join the convention but I dont know how? HE!HE!
If you have cable, there’s some information on the Hero channel, you just need to catch the infomercial though.
nka register n poh aq sa battle of the bands.. ehh pano po b mla2man kng kasi ka n?? my screening p b un??
If I remember correctly, Hero will contact you on that. Not sure if there will be screening though.
heyya!
y hndi ako mkpgregistr sa cosplay???
You need to be a member for Cosplay.ph before you can register for the H3 cosplay
anu anung sponsor meron??? at mga games..?
what day is yun create a hero drawing contest? what day I should wear the costume? TY
@Mark
I’m still finding info on the sponsors. Since the official forum is still down I have to rely on word of mouth. Just expect the old sponsor (not sure if it’s Timezone or Quantum) to be back. It’s not likely for them to drop such a big event.
@katsune
The Draw A Hero contest is likely on the Dec 1 and 2 although I think you just need to send your entry in. If you do win the contest, Hero will contact you personally.. Note sure about the details on the costume though. Will try to contact Hero people on this.
paano po ba yung sa ticket? Paano makaka bili?
Diba may ticket to?
Tickets can be bought on site. If you want to secure your tickets early though you can get them at specialty stores like Tokyo Kids, Comic Alley, Filbars, etc
is it necessary that i attend the convention once i submit an entry for the draw a hero contest? do i have to pass the drawing personally or sending it to them via mail is okay? do i put it in a short brown envelope or those smaller white ones? sorry for sounding so stupid with all these questions but i’m new at joining this kind of contest and i really want to be sure about what to do. tnx in advance!
oh, and i think katsune was referring to the costume that he would wear that looks like the one that he drew… not the cosplay thing… you know, the part where if you wear the costume of your character on the day of the convention you might get a special prize (i think you have to win first, though…) is that right? do you know what that special prize is, by the way?
tnx a bunch again! and it’s really great that i found this site that contains all these useful info, you’re a lifesaver for a newbie like me!
oh, and one or two more things… what else do you think will be important to add in the background of the character and can i send more than one character…
and again, sorry for asking all these questions to you…
Ah, my bad for the wrong advice for Katsune. Thanks for pointing that out.
Small brown envelope if possible. Your work is going to be displayed after all, you don’t want it to be all foldy right? You can send it by snail mail or by courier (expensive though). On the special prize no, aside from the obvious TV exposure I have no idea on the reward.
The background on your character isn’t exactly necessary unless it needs to be really there (like for mood effects etc) and I think the contest is limited to one entry per person like all contests prior to this one.
Thanks for stopping by too, if your friends need questions answered please refer them here or subscribe them to my feeds (use the subscribe box). I hope you stick around even after the convention is over. ^^
EI BKT WALANG TIKET PRIZE
Ang sabi nila mga 100php yata yung price e. 200 kung 2 days ka siyempre.
Wala sa ticket comic alley. saan pa ba pwede bumili????
Ah yes, I passed by Comic Alley a few hours ago. It seems pre-event tickets are only available from certain people in the cosplay community. I haven’t found one that’s selling tickets though.
Don’t worry about not getting into the event though, tickets are ALWAYS available on site. Ticket prices are 100 bucks like souledge said.
ellow, Alam nyo po ba kung wat time yung start at hangang wat time lang ang H3? This December 1 and 2?
Thanx in Advance~! ^^
Ow and this is my first time attending Hataw Hanep Hero Events, Kailangan po ba ng Membership Card or Tickets para makapasok sa H3? ^^
Thanx ulit in Advance~! ^^
I think the event starts at 9, you can fall in-line as early as 7 if you don’t want to mingle with a huge flock of people.
No, you don’t need membership cards to enter. What you get, if you’re a Hero TV member are freebies. You do need to buy the tickets though which are available thru SM’s customer service or at the event itself. I asked a friend who works for Hero TV and he said that you can purchase from ANY SM store so long as it’s not on the event day.
sylv3rblade Thank you for the info
Ow kailangan pala ng ticket? ^^
Pwede narin bumili ng ticket at the event na? ^^
and pwede pa po ba mag pa-register para maging Hero Member? Saan pwede mag-pa register? ^^
Thank you again in Advance ^^
Yes, tickets are necessary and can be bought on the event itself. Pre-event tickets are for those who hate the long lines. FYI, Mangaholix is the only anime event I know that is FREE.
Registration can be done on the event at the Hero booth. Just ask around.
wow ang sabi nla magaganda daw ang mga costume
kelan ba hero con ’09??? gusto ko sana ng schedule…
san ang next convention??? totoo ba sa sm makirina???
wag dun….
