Valve’s opening video for any source game is iconic but it does get old after awhile. Luckily there’s a way to disable it on ANY Source powered game like Team Fortress 2, Half Life 2, CS: Source, Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2.

On your Steam Library, right click the game you want to disable the video on and select Properties

On the properties screen click Set Launch Options

On the Set Launch Options dialog type -novid and press OK

And you’re done. The video will no longer popup and your game will boot directly into the main menu.
