The calm after the storm: Ondoy’s Aftermath

To say that the Philippines stood still in the midst of Ondoy is an understatement. I’m pretty sure I speak for everyone when I saw that no one expected the damage to be this huge. It’s the biggest disaster I’ve seen and experienced since the 1991 quake and yet it started out as what everyone thought as just the typical downpour. The truth however, is that Ondoy is the worst typhoon to hit the metro since 1967.

Just for comparison, Ondoy dropped 455 millimeters of rain in Quezon City in 24 hours, while Hurricane Katrina dropped 250 millimeters of rain to New Orleans in Louisiana in the United States in 2005. That’s a months worth of rain in less than a single day and the metro as we know it turned into a literal sea of flood water.

I have no images no videos of what happened since the only things with me are my phone, my wallet, my jacket and my half-useless umbrella. I carried back only the experience and a story to tell. These are photos from pinoy bloggers:

What happened to you?

My girlfriend and I found ourselves stranded along EDSA, waiting for the traffic to get moving and eventually a bus to take us home. Somewhere along the way (on Starmall as Paula, my girlfriend confirmed), a pickpocket managed to slip clean away with my wallet. Lucky for me, I had all my cash on my pocket instead of inside my wallet. Enjoy my 10 pesos mr. pickpocket. I’ve already cancelled/reported my cards btw.

So…. juggling the meager amount we had left, we ended up taking the MRT to taft station. Since we couldn’t find any buses, jeep or any vehicle that would take us to Cavite (I’ll tell why you in a bit), we decided to walk all the way home. That’s 6.6 kilometers of the Cavite-Manila expressway (known to us as Coastal Road) and around 2 more kilometers for MRT Taft to baclaran and the stretch of the expressway to SM Bacoor. Here’s a map to give you an idea:

It took us more than 8 hours of walking along stopped vehicles on the expressway. It felt like a Hollywood movie >_>. Oh, the reason why there were no vehicles going to Cavite AND why there are still vehicles stopped on the expressway? Turns out that Bacoor, the gateway of Cavite to Manila, was flooded in knee deep waters. Since everyone needed to pass through Bacoor to get to anywhere in Cavite, no one was able to get through. So yeah, our decision to walk it out turned out to be the right choice.

When we reached SM Bacoor, we we’re faced with waist deep waters and a current that’s sure to take our weary bodies along with it. Lucky for us, a 10-wheeler truck was just about to trek the waters to EPZA. Our home was along it’s route so we decided to hitchhike. After more than 12 hours of trekking, we managed to get home safely.

Moral of my story? Always bring your camera wherever you go. Missing the photos of an experience that happens once in a lifetime will be your biggest regret.

Ok enough about you, how can I help?

After a few hours of sleep, we turned to the news and realized how lucky we were to get home relatively unscathed from the long trek. We knew there wasn’t much we could do since we’re still effectively broke (no cash, no ATMs, no money from Adsense yet.. YOU’RE LATE AGAIN) so we decided to do volunteer work and help packing goods. It’s not much but it’s the least we could do to help.

The 8th Annual Philippine Toys, Hobbies & Collectibles Convention 2009 (or Toy Con 2009 for short) is right around the corner, about 2 months to be exact. Anime and manga fans, Toy Collectors, Hobbyists and cosplayers have another opportunity to mingle, enjoy and celebrate their respective cultures under one, giant roof.

Personally, I’ll be looking forward to the cosplay participants, gundam exhibitions, gunpla (Gundam Kits for the uninitiated) and collectibles.

Shizen Orchestra

The Shizen Orchestra is an East Asian music appreciation convention with emphasis on Japanese music. I’m glad there’s more conventions popping up. Looks like the recession hasn’t hit the Anime Community yet (unlike our industry tsk tsk).

In any case, more events means more chances for anime/manga fans to celebrate their passion right? The Shizen Orchestra is admittedly a new name to my schedule. The events/activities they’ve got lined up sparked my interest for some good old convention hopping. Care to join me?

Concert

Various bands will perform Japanese, Korean, and Chinese music

Japanese fashion designing contest

Participants will design an outfit on paper inspired by Japanese fashion. There will to two categories: Traditional and Contemporary Design. The entries will be submitted before the Music Festival and will be judged during the event itself. Festival guests will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite designs.

Plushie (stuffed toy) designing contest

Participants will design plushie or stuffed toy costumes inspired by Japanese fashion.

Artist’s corner/commissions

Participants are artists whose works are inspired by the anime and manga styles.

Maid and Butler cafe

Convention guests will be invited to dine at this café with servers dressed as maids and butlers. The theme of this booth is inspired by the Maid and Butler cafes present in Japan. Towards the end of the event, the maids and butlers will have a music and dance presentation.

Music and Dance Contest

Participants will perform a song and dance number. The top three performances will be awarded.

Music Fashion Show

Individuals will be invited to participate in a show portraying the different fashions and their own interpretations of the East Asian music industry.

Music and dance presentations

Participants from the JAM event last July 26, 2008 shall be invited as guest performers.

Food and Non-Food Concessionaires

Products of the concessionaires are sold to the guests.

Since Hataw Hanep Hero was mostly a flop (take a good look at the multiply journals of regular cosplayers to regular convention goers), a lot of people in the cosplay, anime and manga community want another round of convention goodness. Luckily the upcoming Ozine Fest 2009 looks to live up to that demand. Ozine has always been a big event and now they’ve gotten bigger, as the event will now span three full days instead of the usual two (wonder how they’ll schedule this one).

Then get ready as Otakuzine Anime Magazine brings you its 5th and most ambitious Anime event ever: Ozine fest ’09!!

Prepare for not one, not two, but THREE days of anime and cosplay mayhem enough to satisfy hungry otakus all over the country.

What’s in Ozine Fest ’09?
We introduced the Ozine Maid Cafe during Anicon ’08 last October 5 and due to popular demand, the organizers decided to provide a BIGGER venue and more kawaii maids to serve and entertain you while you dine in Ozine Fest ‘09.

Event space not enough? Then introducing the Ozine Lounge wherein event goers can sit back and relax while surfing the internet and reading our magazines with some drinks. Staying in one place not your thing? Then try your luck in the Matsuri Area wherein you will get the chance to participate in the following activities: Gold Fish Scooping, Balloon Scooping, Darts and Balloons, and Pull a String. The Matsuri not only plans to entertain its attendees with fun games but it will also have the usual Caramelized Apple, Choco Banana, Onigiri, Taiyaki, and other traditional snacks common to a Japanese Festival.

We will be providing more updates soon. So be sure to check our entries regularly.

As you can see there’ll be TONS of activities for the upcoming con. I personally am looking forward to the Maid Cafe (I didn’t get into AniCon’s Maid Cafe and I still regret it) and the raffle (PS3 please XD). I have some plans for to cosplay one of my fave games (Monster Hunter) and I’m building my costume as we speak. Hopefully I can make it in time as this is my biggest build yet. Wish me luck as well as those in the cosplay community ^_~.

Ah Komikon, not many people realize that there’s still quite a lot of people who love comics (and or manga.. depende on your cultural heritage they may or may not mean the same thing) which is why the industry is still very much alive even with the advent of television and other media (err flash? XD). I’m looking forward to this year’s Komikon because I haven’t gotten hold of my yearly staples (save for Pugad Baboy, I got PB 20 autographed a few months ago WOOT).

Now before the plug of the event, here’s an introduction from the Komikon’s official blog.

Update: I just saw an announcement from Hero TV. It seems that the schedule for Hero 4 is 6 pm on November 21 and 10 pm on November 22…. WTH!?!?!??!

HERO TV, of Creative Programs, Inc., a subsidiary of ABS-CBN, is a cable channel that features the craziest, funniest and the latest cartoons, youth-oriented programs, and anime shows. It was launched on October 1, 2005 in Metro Manila and is one of the highest-rating
cable channels in the country.

On November 21 and 22, Hero TV will be having Hataw Hanep Hero – The Amped Edition, the biggest and the grandest and the most anticipated youth fair in the country. Now on its fourth year, H3 partners with ABS CBN Interactive’s gaming team, AMPED – the group behind Warrock, Tantra, Getamped, Cronus and Ngage – to give the event an exciting and dynamic youth event highlighting their myriad of interests – from music to technology, sports, arts and fashion.

The first Hataw Hanep Hero was held at the Philippine Trade Training Center with a crowd of 15,000-strong. Last year, we took over the the SMX Convention Centre, where 20,000 anime and cartoon fans gathered in their finest costumes and fiercest game faces. Hero, together with Amped, is set to make this year’s event become the ultimate anime and youth entertainment fair in the country.

Hero 2006 and 2007 was quite memorable although more so than the last for a number of reasons. I wonder what’s in stored for the cosplayers this time around. I’ve been hearing several rumors and talks within the cosplay community about this years event not the mention the controversies (or so they say) surrounding past events.

As you can see, there’s very little information released to the public so far. Time seems to have changed things with the much awaited event. Guess we’ll just have to go and find out for ourselves.

How to get to Silver City Mall:

From North Bound lane of edsa turn right to intersection where Edsa Shrine is (beside Rob Galleria). That road will pass thru Meralco , Medical City , Home Depot , vicinity of Valle Verde and last, there’s this village looking entrance with fountain & a big round monument thingy… turn right to that road (you’re now entering tiendesitas). this comes BEFORE the intersection with the overpass…
Then just go straight you’ll see SM Hypermarket on the left & on the right side is Silver City (it’s just the building across SM) it looks like a smaller version of SMX… ^-^

another route will be if you’re coming from Q, UP diliman, Mirriam College & Ateneo (along katipunan ave), Blue Ridge village, Eastwood City, then go straight and you’ll end up seeing the intersection with overpass & then Tiendesitas then next to it ung SM Hepermarket. Don’t turn left din, you might get lost and end up in Marikina

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION

Anyone can participate in the ANICON ‘08 cosplay and registration starts at 11AM to 3 PM.
Contestants/Cosplayers must be present during the registration.

GENERAL COSPLAY GUIDELINES

The characters which you will be cosplaying should be from the following: Anime, Gaming, Manga, Comics, Superheroes, and Jmusic (OPEN CATEGORY).
There will be two (2) categories for Cosplay: SOLO and GROUP. See separate guidelines below.
Cosplayers can fill up the registration form even without a picture of what/who they are cosplaying.
The cosplayer should be on stage 30 minutes before the cat walk otherwise they won’t be able to join and they will be disqualified.
No dangerous or hazardous substances are allowed. This is also for the safety of other cosplayers who will go onstage.
Real weapons are strictly NOT allowed. If your character needs to have a weapon, you can make it out of other materials. All props should be kept/carried with the utmost caution. Organizers will bear no responsibility towards any injury as a result of a cosplayer’s carelessness.
Organizers will bear no responsibility towards the loss of any personal belongings.
The organizers reserve the right to confiscate props that may seem potentially dangerous and/or harmful.
No profanity or rude gestures will be tolerated onstage.
The organizers reserve the right to withdraw the rights of participation and/or props of any cosplayer.
The judges’ decision is final, no appeals will be entertained.

CATEGORY – (SOLO) GUIDELINES

A Solo Cosplay participant cannot be allowed to join the group cosplay category.
The judges will decide the final winners. A solo cosplayer could win in only one of the four major categories.
The criteria for judging will be:
- Accuracy – How close the cosplayer’s costume resembles those of the character he/she is cosplaying (30%)
- Craftsmanship – The amount of creativity given by the cosplayer in the construction of their accessories or props (30%)
- Presentation – How well the cosplayer presented his/her character to the audience on stage (30%)
- Audience Impact (10%).

CATEGORY – (GROUP) GUIDELINES

A group cosplay participant cannot be allowed to join another group even as a minor role actor.
They will also not be allowed to join the solo cosplay category.
A group must consist of at least 3 members and no more than 7 members.
All cosplay groups will be required to do a ‘skit’ on-stage. A skit must last at least 30 seconds to no more than 5 minutes in length.
The group can make a short play or a choreographed fight scene on stage. Limit the dancing to short steps.
Group Cosplayers are required to submit a script so the organizers will be well-informed on what your group will be doing on-stage.
Group Cosplayers can provide their own background music (In CD audio format. Other formats such as MP3 or MIDI will not be accepted).
Submit the audio cd to the organizers at least 3 hours before the program starts. Organizers hold no responsibility towards any inconvenience caused as a result of faulty recording or music medium.
The criteria for judging will be:

- Craftsmanship – The amount of creativity given by the group in the construction of their accessories or props (25%)

UPDATE: Comic Con has been postponed until further notice

Hobbylink Productions, Inc has agreed to postpone the Manila Comic Con. This difficult decision is based on the request of the co-presenters, sponsors and the general public to move the event to a bigger venue and a later date to give them more ample time to prepare for such event. The large interest for the people to attend this event might make the current venue difficult to hold and execute the program well and we are currently in negotiation in a location that will hold such amount of people. We will be announcing the new venue and date in the next few weeks.

We are sorry for this delay and thank you for all your support in this event. Such positive comments made the organizers more motivated to give you a bigger and more exciting Manila Comic Con.

Celebrated Filipino comics artists will honor their patrons, staunch comic book aficionados, by conducting an exclusive book signing and book launching all throughout the event. To top it all off, a Cosplay Masquerade Party will be held on October 18 at the Glorietta Tent to create an awesome venue where enthusiasts, hobbyists and artists can get together socialize and build a positive comics energy!

Displays – There will be lifesize statues which we can say “hard to find” and a “museum” type of display for the event.
Toy Companies – Much like Toy Con, Comic con will cater to toy collectors and hobbyists, not just comics fans..
Comics!!! – Comic book fans, get your autograph pen and papers ready. There have already been several confirmed comic book artists that will attend the convention. No official list has been released but I’m having hopes that those in my list will be there. Comic book signings, launches and a panel is scheduled for the convention.
Cosplay – the theme will be halloween (awwww, btw.. my latest costume fits in XDDD) but of course you can still come as a superhero. Prizes are still to be announced and there will be a MASQUERADE party on Saturday evening at the Glorietta tent ^_^.

Details are really very sketchy for the event

Even the event’s facebook has very little information about the event so I guess we’ll have to go and see the event for ourselves.

Cosplay.ph’s Cosplay Mania

Cosplay events are stirring up a storm, I already count six events on my calendar and I doubt I can attend them all (yaoi con….. no!) and here’s the first (in the order that they arrived on my mail at least) one of on that list, Cosplay.ph’s very own Cosplay Mania.

I’m hoping that it will be a bash, not like me and my friends’ previous experiences with Mangaholix and Toy Con, it’s people who knows the cosplay scene that’s taking the reins (with the hope that Team Kyoudou will still keep their presence throughout all future events as well).

Cosplay Mania is going to hold activities that focus mostly on cosplay such as cosplay catwalks, tutorials, demonstrations, historical galleries, and etc. Instead of cosplay being just a crowd magnet, it’s going to be the main attraction. A generous shift on how things are on current conventions if you ask me.

While they’re still ironing out the details on other events, they’ve released the official guidelines for group and individual cosplay found below:

Cosplay Competition

Cosplay Mania 08 Cosplay Guidelines

The Cosplay Mania cosplay event is open to all event attendees.
The Cosplay Mania cosplay event will be an OPEN CATEGORY event where participants could cosplay any character that they want from any genre: whether it’s from an anime, manga, games, comics, movies, western animation, visual kei, harajuku fashion, etc. Pls. keep in mind that Original Characters are not qualified.
The Cosplay Mania cosplay event will be held on October 12, 2008. Both the INDIVIDUAL COSPLAY and the GROUP COSPLAY will be held on the said date.
The cosplay registration will be both an on-site/at-con registration and an online pre-registration. The on-site/at-con registration will be on October 12, 2008. Please refer to the Cosplay Online Pre-Registration procedure for each category.
All registrants are required to submit a reference picture of the character that they’ll be cosplaying upon registration. Please refer to the Picture Reference Submission section for the procedure.
Pre-registrants are required to confirm their pre-registrations on-site during the cosplay registration period. Pre-registering doesn’t guarantee a slot in the official cosplay list.
All cosplay competition participants are not qualified to join the Costume Building Contest.
Cosplayers under eighteen (18) years of age as of the event date must have their parent/s and/or legal guardian/s sign the waiver/image release form which will be distributed at the event.
Fanservice (e.g. yaoi, yuri, etc.) is allowed but should be “General Patronage”. Any kind of extreme kind of fanservice (e.g. kissing, PDA, etc.) that is deemed inappropriate for minors are strictly prohibited. Keep in mind that Cosplay Mania is a wholesome and a General Patronage event.
Costumes that are too revealing (ie. exposes private parts) are prohibited. Scantly clad and/or sexy costumes are allowed but are not encouraged. The Cosplay Mania Cosplay Team has the right to disqualify any participant on this ground.
All kinds of costume props must be handled with utmost care and must not be harmful to fellow cosplayers, event staff and event attendees. Any kind of sharp and/or bladed objects that will be used as costume props that could cut human flesh are strictly prohibited. Any kind of pyrotechnic equipment/s that will be used as costume props that could render damage to the venue and/or property is strictly prohibited.
The Cosplay Mania Cosplay Team, Cosplay Mania organizers and its staff will not be held responsible for damage or injury resulting from mishandling and/or negligence of a cosplayer in his/her use of props/materials throughout the duration of the event.
The Cosplay Mania cosplay judges’ decisions are final and can’t be appealed.
The Cosplay Mania organizers reserve the right to disqualify any cosplayer who ignores and/or violates any of the aforementioned guidelines.
Registration and participation to the cosplay event constitutes that the cosplayer gives the right and the authority to Cosplay Mania organizers/staff, its sponsors and authorized press media to take pictures and/or videos of registered cosplayers, cosplay groups and its members. These will be the sole property of the organizers/staff, its sponsors and authorized press media to be used for future publications and/or advertising promotions.
Cosplay Mania organizers and its staff and their relatives up to the 2nd degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from participating in the cosplay event.

Individual Cosplay Guidelines

There will be an entry limit of one hundred (100) cosplayers for the Individual Cosplay event. There is a deadline for the registration and qualified cosplayers who registered before the deadline quota is included in the official list of Individual Cosplay participants.
Cosplay registration for the Cosplay Mania Individual Cosplay event will be both an online pre-registration and an on-site/at-con registration.
The online pre-registration will be done through here which is hosted by Cosplay.ph.
If the 100 Individual Cosplay quota has been reached but pre-registrants fail to confirm their registration from 10am-1pm on October 12, 2008, the next available slot(s) will be given to the on-site Individual Cosplay registrants.
Individual Cosplay participants are only allowed to have a maximum of two (2) human props.
Individual Cosplay participants will be given number tags that must be worn at all times.
Individual Cosplay participants are not qualified to join the Group Cosplay event even as a minor role or as a prop.

Group Cosplay Guidelines

A cosplay group must consist of a minimum of six (6) and a maximum of ten (10) members. Human props and the Cosplay Group’s Technical Director are included in the member count.
There will be any entry limit of ten (10) groups for the Group Cosplay. There is a deadline for the registration and qualified teams that registered before the deadline quota is included in the official list of Group Cosplay participants.
A member of a particular cosplay group can only join ONE COSPLAY GROUP and he/she will not allowed to join multiple cosplay groups.
A member of a particular cosplay group is not qualified to join the Individual Cosplay event.
Cosplay registration for the group cosplay will be through online pre-registration only. On-site group cosplay registration will not be accepted.
The online pre-registration will be done through here which is hosted by Cosplay.ph.
All cosplay groups are required to have a cosplay skit. Each cosplay group will be given a maximum of 5 minutes of stage time to do their skits.
All background music (BGMs) that will be used for the cosplay skit must be in audio or MP3 format (.CDA or .MP3) and must be within the time limit of their cosplay skit. Audio CDs must be properly labeled and submitted on October 11, 2008 as well as the script of the group skit. Procedures for submission will be emailed after the groups submit an on-line registration. A cosplay group is required to have a Technical Director who will assist the Cosplay Mania technical team in the usage of their BGM.
A pre-production briefing will be held on October 11, 2008. All cosplay groups are required to send a representative to the briefing. Group sequence will also be determined that day. Failure to attend the pre-production briefing will result in disqualification for the group.

Picture Reference Submission

Each cosplayer is required to submit a digital file of the picture of the character that they’ll be cosplaying.
All digital pictures must be in either JPEG, GIF or PNG format and must not exceed 10MB.
All digital pictures must not go below 144 x 288 pixels (wallet size) and must not go beyond 792 x 594 pixels (short bond paper size).
It is highly recommended to submit a full-body colored picture of the character that will be cosplayed. We’ll accept black/white pictures.
For on-line cosplay registrants, digital pictures must be uploaded to an online hosting site (e.g. Photobucket, Multiply, etc.) and a link provided during on-line registration.
For on-site registration, pictures must be stored in either a USB thumb drive or a CD and submitted upon registration. Please ensure that they are in the proper formats specified above and the storage device is free from viruses. Printed pictures will not be accepted. No picture means no registration.

ToyCon Day 1 Aftermath

It was just day 1 and Toy Con was already jampacked with cosplay fanatics, toy lovers, frequent event goers and people who bit into the plug by Sir Mike Enriquez last friday. A big kudos to the marketing department for that. Toy Con was so packed I couldn’t move around to look for cosplayers AND the toys I wanted to buy (as if I had the money for them )

Although the event used 2 Megatrade Halls, I can’t help but wishing they had 3.

Overall though, I think I can sum up the event aftermath from several point of views, starting with the avid cosplay fanatic, the toy lover/collector and the frequent or the newbie event goer.

To those who haven’t gone to Day 1, here’s a shout out for one of the biggest events in the country.

Let’s start of with the event goers since they’re the most numerous of the bunch.

Toy Con delivered as promised

Yep, whether you’re interested in seeing cosplayers, you favorite character’s toy line up, comic books, collectibles etc, Toy Con 07 has got them all. I even manage to find (not buy) a store that was selling Haro Alarm clocks (will try to get this on my next adsense paycheck ^_^) so it more or less proves that Toycon has gathered most if not all of the great finds.

I’m not sure if everyone was able to watch the full on-stage show but it was quite informative, I for one especially enjoyed the panel discussion with the comic creators. There was lots of interesting booths to but I wasn’t able to visit most of them so I stuck to the ones that I needed to go to the most, the E-games booth for a Cabal Tshirt and a free poster (yeah my joys are just that shallow)

Toy Con has what you want

Unlike other events that specialize in animes, Toy Con has appeals to many interested parties. I know a couple people who went to the event not for the cosplayers or the event program but for the collectible shops to complete their comics/figure collection. Day 2 promises to be even more interesting since a few TV personalities are set for an on-stage discussion.

I know a few toy shops but not ones that carry a solid collection of Gundam Mobile Suit kits so finding one that carries not only Marvel stuff but also Gunpla (Gundam Plastic) kits was a big plus. With a 30 second exchange, I was able to find several kits that was in my must buy collection (like the Hyaku Shiki 1/100 kit) and the Haro Alarm clock. What’s more I found that said shop had a site (should’ve been a no brainer, you’ll see that in the next sentence) where you can look up toy catalogues and which branch has what. The store name? Greattoysonline.com. I wonder how I could’ve missed that =_=.

There were lots of magazine sellers too but I wasn’t able to dive into their selling bin because the lanes were quite cramped due to the sheer number of interested buyers. Will try today but I seriously doubt I’ll get out of there alive.

Toy Con’s best of the best

I’m usually in awe of the collections on display at the convention because of the time spend collecting them and the dedication put into it. This year wasn’t a disappointment in that line and although there were some items that fall into “I’ve seen this last year” category, I found several new displays (like the Hulk collection, nice timing for it) that really rocked my world. I’m hoping that a friend’s contact will be able to display his collection to day, he’s one of the few who’s collections ( he’ll be bringing Gun-pla) that I’m really interested in seeing.

I won’t be posting the last category since the Cosplay Event still isn’t done. I’ll just update and tie it to the next post. Till then, see you at the convention.

Costumes, cosplays, conventions and getting hooked to them

There’s always something about cosplays that draws me to it. From sexy costumes to amazing feats of creativity and engineering (yeah, it’s not just about the pretty girls), cosplay has gone from a fad that’s just for geeks and otakus to every one who loves to don a costume or simply standout.

Hey, there’s even children’s costumes too. Here’s a quick sample.

Now, cutesy stuff aside, men touting DSLRs (like me for example) simply love showstealers like a hot adult female in costume. It makes all the effort of going to a convention (like the upcoming Toy Con 2008) all the more worth it especially when your shot comes out picture-perfect. But seeing that more and more people are getting intested in cosplay photography, you may need to go the extra mile like what I did below:

You may be asking, I’m interested in doing cosplays but don’t know where to start. First off, the easiest way is looking for a local seamstress or tailor that can do your bidding.

If you can’t find one, then why not try Halloween Adventure. Don’t let the name fool you, they have more than just Halloween themed costumes and these range from popular icons like Harry Potter to Super Heroes and to even Historically-themed ones (medieval, egyptian, ancient greece). They even have quite a selection of accessories (like wigs and hats, I think I found a wig that I need for an upcoming cosplay plan) and other props to help you give more personality to your costumes. What’s more they have sizes for everyone, from children costumes, teens to full-sized (and over) adults halloween costumes.
