6.20 Pro-B4 LCFW released

Aside from releasing 6.35 Pro-B4, Coldbird has released a version for those sticking with 6.20 OFW for 6.20 TN-D (people like me :)). This release includes a new ISO driver called Inferno OSS and includes Anti-NBGI fixes that allows for more compatibility both found in the 6.35 Pro-B4 release as well as a permanent patch forked from the 6.20 TN-D Permanent Patch.

Important: Do note that since this includes a patch to make the loaded Hen “permanent,” there’s a slight chance that it could brick your PSP. Proceed with caution.

You need to be on 6.20 OFW to run this LCFW. If you’re not on 6.20 OFW and want to install 6.20 Pro-B4, follow this guide: HowTo: Upgrade your PSP to 6.20 OFW.

Some small fixes wee probably forgot about…

Download 6.20 Pro-B4:

To run the Permanent Patch:

  • Be sure to have 6.20 Pro-B4 installed.
  • Pressing R while booting loads the recovery.
  • Pressing Select while booting loads OFW.
  • When applying the Permanent Patch, choose X on first question and O on second to install, two times X only tests whether your device is compatible with our Permanent Bootloader.
  • Should you manage to brick yourself, try pressing ?O+X+Select+Start while turning your PSP on. It will trigger a emergency uninstall.

Important Note: The 6.20 version only works for 1g, 2g, 3g, 4g and 5g models.

do you recommend to install this or stay on TN-D HEN?

If you have anything PSN-related, I wouldn’t recommend it since a lot of PSN-content checks flash0 for anything not of Sony.

does that include free PSN content like the Duodecim Warrior of light alternate costume?

        • atmaxplorer sylv3rblade April 10, 2011

If all the PSN-content that you have are DLCs like that (no games or PSX contents) then you’re fine.

oh, then I guess no problem then, since all games that are from PSN like Angry Birds are converted to ISO or CSO

    What exactly is “permanent patch”?

    • atmaxplorer sylv3rblade April 13, 2011 Reply

The permanent patch allows the Hen (in this case 6.20 Pro or 6.20 TN-D) to remain loaded on your PSP even if you turn it off.
