Screenshots of the 3rd birthday, the next installment of the Parasite Eve series have been circulating for quite a while now at E3 and I’m just blogging about it now. Talk about being late to the party :(. In any case, here a much more complete set of screenshots than wherever you may have heard of it :).

In The 3rd birthday, Faceless monsters know as the Twisted have taken over New York City. Our heroine Aya, is well armed (and well endowed :)) to cleanse the city of these abonimations. In game, Aya can control other characters in the battlefield using the overdive system. This will transfer Aya’s conciousness into the NPC which transform into her after she dives in. Diving is a key feature of The 3rd Birthday. You have to use this to move from one point to the next and, at times, escape from boss monsters.

The 3rd Birthday is scheduled to come out this winter in Japan. An english version is expected 6 months to a year afterwards.

While looking for a complete set of screenshots, I happened upon this vid but I’m pretty sure you’ve jumped over to the pictures for any shower shots just like in the PSX game right?
