I guess i need some help.. I have a Slim PSP 2004 with TA-085v1, i’ve updated to 5.50 GEN-A without any problems, but now, when i’m trying to update to GEN-B it says CURRUPTED DATA, could you please tell me if there is some solution to it?

You might want to try putting the update on a different memory stick if you have one or make sure that you delete Gen A before putting Gen B on the MS. I tried it to put both on the same stick and one of them always shows up as corrupted.

I have succesfully hacked and updated my PSP all the way to CFW 5.50 GEN-B (Full)
I started with 5.00 M33-6 yesterday, and no matter what ISO I downloaded and put on the system (I tried an ISO Directory in the root directory, I tried putting them in the Games directory, I even tried putting them in Games/ISO) they show up as Corrupted files, every one. I’ve tried the new Clone Wars Game, the new NFS Shift, etc, even tried an older game, Pursuit Force, still showed up as corrupted. I have the UMD set to M33 No UMD Needed in configuration, is there something else I missed?

If you’re getting a corrupted file error, chances are there is something that’s preventing you from copying the game/s properly. Try using a memory card reader to directly copy your games to the memory stick instead.

I have upgraded to 5.50 GEN B full and I can’t get to the VSH menu anymore. In the previous version you just had to push “select”. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Gonzo on 10 Oct 09 at 05:15:45 said:

How do you access the VSH menu on CFW 5.50 GEN B. I tried the reset button but it is not working.

    • sylv3rblade on 10 Oct 09 at 05:53:33 said:

5.50 GEN firmwares have the VSH menu disabled by default, you need to restart your PSP holding the R button and access the recovery menu. You can enable it there.

You have to make an ISO folder on the root of your memory stick (when you open your memory stick on your computer where the musics PSP and the rest of the files) just make one there and you can make it there and copy all your iso’s and cso’s there

You’ll still be able to play games without the UMD. Before upgrading check if your current firmware version meets the requirements.
