While the number of PSP game releases on US soil (English versions of the games at least) have slowed to a crawl, other platforms are having a quite a time especially with big names like GTA IV on the 360 and Metal Gear 4 on the PS3.  Earning similar success is Namco’s Soul Calibur.

Like Tekken, Soul Calibur is one of the better known names in the Fighting Game genre.  Soul Calibur is well known for (aside from it’s fighting system) are it’s ehem.. women.  Look refer to Ivy’s image on the right.  XD

It’s umm, to say the least, distracting.  No wonder a lot of guys play it more. ^_^

Soul Calibur IV features a shift in the gameplay with more focus on strategy and realism rather than button mashing (I hate that term).

In any case, if you haven’t got the game, you can place your orders on play Asia below.

Aside from the big selling point of ‘women’ like what you said.. (haha) I think the success of Soul Calibur is the awesome cameos in each of the game. And FTW, I so much want to use Darth Vader in the PS3 version of this game! =]

I picked this up on the weekend and I’m totally hooked. I haven’t enjoyed a fighting game like this in a long time.

I think my favorite part is the character creation system. I can’t wait till I get internet at my new place, so I can take my created character online.

Nice to know you’re enjoying the game. I can only play it on rental PS3′s/360′s though since I only own a Wii.
