I’ve been in the market for a decent camera bag ever since I got my hands on my Nikon D90. As I already have an awesome Case Logic backpack, I tried searching for a messenger bag under their product line but found none that fits my needs. While Case Logic does have some bags that fit the description, they’re not camera bags which means the don’t have sufficient padding and/or protection to keep my gear safe and snug. Then I came across this brand called Crumpler Bags. It was love at first sight :D

10 years and 140 million units sold (as of October 1, 2009), that’s a small testament to the Sony’s success with the PS2. Can you take a guess at what my first PS2 game is?

No it’s not a Final Fantasy game. My very first PS2 game was Need for Speed Underground. It’s a game where drifting sucked :(

By the numbers, the PlayStation 2 is Sony’s most successful console to date. Though it’s sales are currently dwarfed by the Nintendo Wii, you can deny the fact that Sony won THAT generation of the console wars with the PlayStation 2. But you might be wondering, why are you seeing this post on March 4….. well that’s because March 4th is the Japanese launch of the console :D

So congratulations to Sony and the PlayStation 2. While the company declares that it’s consoles have a 10 year life-cycle, the PS2 is still going strong. It may surprise you but companies are still producing games for this decade old console. And sales are still up… for console and games alike. So don’t count on the PS2 dying just yet :D

Again, happy 10th birthday PS2. We’ve had our share of good times :D

Portal fans can revive their “cake is a lie” mantra. Valve has formally announced Portal 2 and will be shipping the game will ship in the “coming holiday season.”

Blizzard has just announced the start of closed beta testing for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and a handful of lucky (bastards?) players are already enjoying the game. As for the much awaited Starcraft 2 release date? Blizzard says it’ll be available in mid-2010. How’s that for a kicker?

If you’ve played DoTA before then chances are you’ve heard of Heroes Of Newerth aka HoN. It’s a standalone game that allows you all the gameplay of DoTA without Warcraft 3 but will more of the bells and whistles. Sound sweet? You bet :)

Yes the game is still in beta and you can place an order to be able to play the game but if you don’t want to shell out some cash you can look for HON Beta Keys :) I have some invites and I’ve love to share them with you :)

Microsoft is going all out for Final Fantasy XIII’s US release this March with the announcement of The Final Fantasy XIII Special Edition, a Xbox 360 bundle for the US release of the upcoming game. Sure you may argue that the PS3 did it first with the very limited Lightning-edition PS3 bundle for the Japanese release but I’m doubting those got out of Japan in significant numbers :( . Besides, you got to admit that the print on the 360 looks a lot better than the fusha-tinted PS3 :D

It’s a numbers game when it comes to dSLRs and their respective pixel counts right? But what about Hasselbald’s new H4D-40 with 40 MegaPixels? O_O Read that part yet? 40 megapixels… 40 million pixels in 3-by-44mm CCD sensor. At that size, it’s about twice the size of a typical full-frame 35mm DSLR sensor.

With those specs, it easily beats my Nikon D90 out of the ball park. :(

The International version for Final Fantasy XIII is set for release on March 09, 2010, several months after the original japanese release. The official trailer below shows the reason for the delay. Square-Enix took it’s sweet time to do localization properly and apply it to the video (not just the sounds.. or voices). No more lip-synching :D

You can see the video after the jump.

I’ll admit, when Polaroid announced the decision that they’ll stop producing films for their Instant film cameras (AKA Polaroids), I felt sad because the sheer legacy of the company and it’s cameras to the world of photography has come at an end. Or so we thought.

Impossible Project has acquired (legally of course) the equipment necessary to produce the instant film and aim to start production this year in cooperation with Summit Global Group for distribution. But what about the cameras?

Phew! Things have been really hectic for me since the New Year began and one of the few joys during the interim that I found throughout my currently busy busy busy schedule (aside from the obvious lure of moolah) was the opportunity to take pictures with my new baby, the Nikon D90. I posted it’s first pics (well picture of the D90 box at least) via my New Year greeting but failed to record the unboxing pics because I didn’t remember to take pictures :( Oh well, at least I got the hang of all the new buttons, nubs and features pretty quickly because I dropped everything and played with the cam’s features up until the New Year’s celebration on the beachside but that’s another story. :D
